Jefferson’s Ferry Names Gloria B. Snyder to Chair Board of Directors

S. Setauket, NY…February 7, 2023…

Jefferson’s Ferry, a not-for-profit Life Plan Retirement Community, has elected Gloria B. Snyder to serve as Chair of its Board of Directors.   Ms. Snyder, an eight year veteran of the board, succeeds longtime trustee and Board Chair Vivian Viloria-Fisher. Jefferson’s Ferry President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Caulfield made the announcement.

“The Jefferson’s Ferry community has always been fortunate to have committed and talented board members, and Gloria has long played an important role on the board,” said Caulfield.  “Her solid financial background, deep understanding of our community and commitment to excellence makes her a valued member of our board and our community.”

Ms. Snyder is Vice President of Snyder Capital Management, Inc., a full service financial consulting firm in Medford. She received a master’s degree from Stony Brook University and is a former president and active member of its Alumni Association.  She also serves as chairperson of the Advancement Council of the Stony Brook Cancer Center, is member of the Advisory Board of the Staller Center and past president of Hillel Foundation.   She lives in Belle Terre.

In addition to electing Ms. Snyder as chair, three new trustees—Kenneth Roberts, Lawrence Eric Davidow and Wendy Darwell have joined the board.  Mr. Roberts recently retired from Mather Hospital where he served as President for the past 36 years.  Mr. Davidow is Senior and Managing Partner of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern concentrating in Elder Law, Estate Planning and Special Needs.  Ms. Darwell serves as the president and CEO of the Suburban Hospital Alliance of NYS, which represents the interests of public and not-for-profit hospitals in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island.
