Message from President and CEO, Bob Caulfield
The entire Jefferson’s Ferry community is thrilled to welcome the warm weather, and with it a more relaxed protocol that enables us to safely spend quality time among our neighbors, family, and friends, both on campus and out in the larger community.
This year marks the Twentieth Anniversary of the opening of Jefferson’s Ferry’s. You can be sure that we’ll be celebrating the extraordinarily vibrant community that is Jefferson’s Ferry. Over the course of these twenty years we have grown, flourished, and evolved to meet the needs of new residents and expand our services and amenities. You can be sure we will continue on that course.
We are thankful to be on the other side of last year’s challenges but will also remember 2020 for the singular way that we came together as a community, knowing that our most basic needs would be met and also in finding comfort in our shared optimism, concern and ingenuity that enabled us to get through it together. Most of us wouldn’t have had it any other way, and willingly made the necessary sacrifices to support each other and ensure the safety and security of residents and fellow coworkers. And we learned new ways to stay connected and have some fun, even when we couldn’t gather in person.
Now that most everyone on campus has been vaccinated, we have resumed many of our favorite activities while continuing to follow reasonable precautions in compliance with infection control and safety guidelines as directed by the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We will continue to monitor updates and information provided by the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
To all the members of our community, including our residents, their families and friends, our staff and board members, we express enduring gratitude for your unflagging support, spirit, faith, fortitude, and patience.
Our door is always open. Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments.
