Established in 2006, the Jefferson’s Ferry Foundation is a piece of our community that brings joy in so many different ways—whether it’s the joy of giving, the ability to provide financial assistance to residents in need, or the new ways we can add onto our community to support and honor those who are or were a part of it.
For many of us the joy is in the moments we spend on the beautiful patio, the meditation room, or the porte cochere over the entrance that were all built with Foundation funds. Or Mary’s Garden, another favorite spot for residents, visitors and staff that was made possible when Mary, a Jefferson’s Ferry resident and gardener could no longer continue the garden outside her Jefferson’s Ferry home. Her husband, Ed, made a donation to the Foundation to create Mary’s Garden, which could be seen from her apartment window. Mary and Ed have passed on but thanks to support from the Foundation, Mary’s Garden is still enjoyed by our community.
