A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is a unique lifestyle concept because it provides a retirement option to adults, over the age of 62, with independent residential living, community activity center, and on-site short and long-term enriched housing, memory care and nursing care. In essence, there are three types of housing and services offered in a CCRC: residential  housing, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. These services, which are all coordinated by a team of healthcare professionals, are centrally planned, located, and, most importantly, administered on one campus. In order to be accepted as a resident of a CCRC, you must meet health, insurance and financial requirements.
